Over the course of two 15 hr flights back and forth in the last week, I’ve watched 7 out of 8 Mission Impossible movies. No idea why.
(The 8th isn’t available)
GM,
Especially to the ones who are able to channel their frustration with their current situation, whatever that might be, into constructive action.
You are appreciated 🙏

New Plebchain Radio Episode is live 🚗⚡️🟣
@Stirling Forge joined me to talk about building a decentralized rideshare on Nostr: Ridestr (rider) + Drivestr (driver).
Key ideas:
– local routing + fare calc on-device (less data leakage, more sanity)
– privacy-minded flows (approx location, less broadcasting by default)
– payments + trust mechanics (pickup verification, escrow-ish handshake options)
– and the killer feature: Road Flare 🔥
Think “bat-signal for your ride” where you ping your own trusted driver micro-network first, sidestepping the classic network-effects trap.

Looking for experts on art IP and copyright law to have as guests on Plebchain Radio. I’m looking for both sides – 1. IP/copyright shouldn’t/doesn’t exist for art and 2. It does and should exist as a critical necessity.
Not a debate. I want to learn.

I wasted an hour this morning trying to set up a moltbot that would post on my behalf on X. Still need to work through some bugs on how it’s passing the API tokens, but an unfortunate side effect was that I got to read the X timeline for the first time in weeks
The disease of the week on X seems to be crying about nostr/ celebrating its “death” 😂😂

The third edition of Sunday Brunch is now served 🔊
I was joined by @OpenMike who brought a perfectly curated open music playlist. In the gap between the songs, we chatted about the unfolding situation on the ground in Minneapolis, onboarding musicians to nostr, a planned v4v concert in Belgrade in June, and planting the flag in a cultural embassy in the heart of downtown Austin.
Listen in and support the open music ecosystem 🎧 ⚡ – 90% of your boosts and streams go directly to the artists when the songs are playing.

It wouldn't be Sunday without Sunday Brunch by @Plebchain Radio 🎙️
Join me in a little over 2hrs, at 12 pm ET / 1700 UTC, on your favorite nostr livestreaming app. @Rod Palmer 📯 Bugle News #40HPW🎧 will be here, and he's bringing his own playlist with him. Listen in and support the open music ecosystem!
That will be followed by a nostr exclusive broadcast of Finding Home – Paraguay at 2pm ET / 1900 UTC. Watch the story of Czech expat, @Jan Kotas, as he finds sovereignty for himself and builds a lifeboat for his community ... with great steak and wine as a backdrop.

WHO SAID NOSTR IS BORING?
As we begin to wind the week down, join me in a double-double header to take us home
We start with Episode 147 of @Plebchain Radio 🎙️ tomorrow, Friday January 16 at 2100 UTC / 4pm ET. My guest is @Dion Wilson , founder of the recently launched Bitcoin for the Arts non-profit, and a man who made the move from broadway to bitcoin 🤯
That will be immediately followed by a nostr premiere of Finding Home – Paraguay at 2300 UTC / 6pm ET. It will be streamed on any nostr client that supports streaming. I don't believe a show has ever premiered on nostr before, so make sure you tune in for this historic event 👀 . I will stick around for a live q/a afterwards.
Then, on Sunday January 18 at 1700 UTC / 12pm ET, the second edition of Sunday Brunch will be served. I will be joined by none other than @Rod Palmer 📯 Bugle News #40HPW🎧, a man of multiple multitudes, who will be brining his own playlist with him.
That will be followed by a rerun of the Paraguay episode at 1900 UTC / 2pm ET on your favorite nostr streaming client and I will do a live q/a afterwards again.
ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?

In the very first episode of Say WoT? by @Plebchain Radio 🎙️ , I went "there" with my three guests, @Derek Ross, @Vitor Pamplona, and @david
"There" in this case was, "are WoT scores the same as social credit scores?"
The answer, was a resounding no: the key difference is user-chosen providers + user-specific perspective, is NOT a single global, centralized rating.
We also unpacked Amethyst's new update that includes NIP-85 trusted assertions as a delivery mechanism for user-directed scores, how WoT spam/ scam suppression leads to a better UX, and how contextual WoT will turbocharge content curation and discovery on nostr.
Listen in!

The signal is only as good as the graph that filters it.
Introducing Say WoT? – a new podcast from @Plebchain Radio 🎙️ : a technical deep-dive into Web of Trust, NIPs, and the future of the protocol.
For the first episode, streaming live on nostr at 1800 UTC / 1 pm ET tomorrow, Monday, Jan 12, I'm not messing around. I’m joined by some serious heavy hitters: • @Derek Ross , @Vitor Pamplona , and @david
Derek wants to ask some tough question about the latest WoT score roll-out on Amethyst, and WoT service providers in general. Are we headed towards social credit socres on nostr? (spoiler alert: it's the absolute opposite)
We are dissecting the state of the graph, the spam problem, and the next layer of curation and discovery.
Tune in on any client that supports NIP-53. The episode will be out on your favorite podcasting app a day or two later

Stop fighting the system. Start leaving it.
This week's @Plebchain Radio 🎙️ is different. No sermon. No guests. Just signal.
I’m did a scored reading of four essential essays by @Max covering the full arc of the sovereign exit:
1. Builders, Not Talkers
2. The Quiet Departure
3. What Your Loved One Is Trying to Tell You
4. The Candle's Work
It is a guide on how to build the exit – and how to handle the friction with the people you care about most.
There are two v4v musical interludes that fit in perfectly with the essays. Don’t forget to boost the musician of the week, my new prog-rock discovery, Steve Thorne
