Naming the country Israel was the greatest and most elementary trick for Christians imaginable. It has absolutely nothing to do with the “Israel” of the Bible, but sure enough hundreds of millions of Christians read that word in the Bible and that’s enough to then defend anything done by the arbitrary government lines that recently received the same label. 😅 View quoted note →

I definitely wouldn’t call it the “greatest” but certainly up there. It’s crazy that it’s strikingly similar to the old practice of cutting off little girls’ clitoris, and was started for similar reasons, but we just kept doing it and changing the excuse. For those who don’t know, circumcision was started by the church solely because it prevented little boys from playing with their penis and masturbating at earlier years. Centuries later doctors started saying it was “because inflections or something,” and everyone just ran with it because it was normal. We also get bacteria in all sorts of places, interesting that we don’t cut off any other body parts to fix those problems isn’t it? 🤔 I mean I get in grown nails every so often, maybe just rip out fingernails and toenails to prevent it from ever being a problem? And talk about bacteria! Its purpose is and always has been to dry out the head of the penis, kill the nerves, and diminish sensation so that little boys won’t “sin.” View quoted note →

I dont know why I can't get around this in my head but I'm fully convinced that the singular problem with P2P as the foundation of the internet is simply that we could never monetize it. I mean seriously P2P dominated all web traffic for more than half a decade. And that's *without* any way to monetize, and it was only when the establishment capitulated that things shifted back. Now we have numerous decentralized and P2P protocols and an open digital money to monetize it all without any third parties, and we have Ai expanding the capability to write software more than any other tool in internet history... and I can't see how this doesn't swing back in a massive way. In other words - I think people who are discounting P2P because of limitations and failures of the past, aren't properly understanding the past or its limitations, imo. Maybe I'm wrong, but I intend to put it to the test.

LMAO I was on X for barely a couple of minutes today and someone asked for how to do something in Bitcoin, I gave a few options, and he responded with essentially "those are shitty and inconvenient options." 🤣 🤣 Why is everyone over there such an angry bitch?
