It's kinda wild... In the course of just one year, I went from thinking that *maybe* open source was about to get its chance to be a major part of consumer software, to basically being convinced that virtually all software will be open source and there's nothing anyone can to do about it. Whenever I'm having a real sh*t day, the two things that help me get my head right: • Setting out to get one small win that has nothing to do with what i was planning to work on (change the stupid toilet paper holder that keeps getting loose and hanging down, hang the curtain rods i've been putting off for weeks, etc). • Clean the room. Get rid of the boxes i needed to deal with forever. Take that box of random screws and bits and little tools that i didn't have a good place for and actually go through and organize them properly, throw away what doesn't fit into my system. Inevitably ill get some sense of progress and I'll feel a little bit more capable of dealing with the forever failing or forever "next week" projects that span years and weigh on everything else i try to do. What's your process?

Just switched to @White Noise for my agent conversation and all I did was give my current agent a prompt I copied from the white noise app and then sent it a message. I did this while we were in the middle of chatting with @Max on the Roundtable. This is so cool 😂🔥

Testing a quick video i put together on the app I built for my own production workflow. I couldn't find any video editing and recording app that works like i think.... so I'm building it. It will soon run with pearcore (peardrive engine) in the background on all platforms if anyone is interested. My plan is to have it so i can record a segment on my desktop, get up and walk outside and record a segment with my phone, edit it, then return to my desktop to record and finished it up. And recording and editing happen in the same interface, quickly jumping around and pausing to cut a bad take and continuing forward. Kinks to work out and pearcore needs some changes before it works on iOS, but i'm getting closer and closer to all of these apps I'm building working together seamlessly. I hate how long its taking but its going to be dope when things finally start coming together.

Not being able to quickly and safely sign into another client or device is such a friction with Nostr. I really think it’s the most important problem to solve in the short and medium term. And I do *not* think remote signing with another device or running nsecbunker or having your phone find some trick to stay alive in the background to be a signer is the solution. They are clever and useful for some, but ultimately only a tiny, tiny minority will deal with those things. I’ve thought for years we just need a key signing delegation. It’s the equivalent of session cookies online. The problem simply requires a robust and decentralized way to sync and share active “session keys” that can be safely and quickly revoked when needed. I’m also not saying that’s an easy problem either. I’m simply saying I don’t see anyway we get the “web experience” but also the security of signed messages and not needing to trust the host or relay without it. I’d love to hear other ideas for it though. I’m working on what I described above right now though.

GM, if a doctor prescribes you something, you don’t actually have to buy it or take it. The responsibility for living life drugged out of your mind or deal with whatever crazy list of side effects that may arise is still yours.

GM There are no reserve requirements for banks. They can issue as much debt as they want from nothing at all. This is normal and could never have massive, systemic negative consequences so don't think about it.
