After some hard work and a lot of fun, I’ve finally completed this book, “Programming Bitcoin” by @jimmysong It’s been an amazing journey, and as with learning any new piece of knowledge, the gems 💎 you pick up on the way help reshape your understanding of what’s going on under the hood. image Why did I do it? Well, as with everyone who does something like this, I had a passion to build someone on Bitcoin, or at least contribute to something. But also I wanted to add to my already existing credentials regarding Bitcoin. For years I’ve been delivering lectures, seminars, classes and making videos about Bitcoin, and even issued a detailed fatwaa on the permissibility of it, but I wanted to cover any potential blind spots that one may miss by not understanding how it works down to the code level. And I’m glad I did. I’m even more confident on my position on Bitcoin not only being halal money, but also our only real alternative to our current ribaa-fiat system. It’s elegance, simplicity, and straightforwardness is truly amazing, and I hope you all have the chance to build something amazing on this decentralised system. Just like I’m fascinated with Nostr and building an amazing community here, I’m equally enthusiastic about what we can build on Bitcoin. My one proud moment in this book was when I send my first ever Bitcoin transaction formed 100% using python, while also tweaking the code to allow me to automatically broadcast it via mempool.space. image The journey continues, and I hope more can join me on what will be an epic saga!!! In shaa Allaah.

Just in case the original announcement wasn’t heard or missed, DO NOT give any donations to Yoosuf in Palestine. You can find the details why on this post. There’s a LOT more than wasn’t said in public, but needless to say, there enough reason to stop sending money there.

After using Damus first, then moved the primal, and then Yakihonne, returning back to Damus highlights just how light weight and ‘rapid’ it is. It’s fast, to the point and hardly has any delays at all. Nostr is a crazy space…as there are so many options and ways to interact with the space lol 😂

So my alert 🚨 just went off…we are NOW in uncharted territory. We have finally broken the previous ATH from 2017. “From 2017?! Surely you mean 2021?!” No, I mean 2017. If you divide the M1 money supply by Bitcoin price, we didn’t break the previous ATH last cycle. Instead we made an 8 YEAR inverse Head and Shoulders!!! What does that mean?! Hopefully good news lol 😂 Head and shoulders are quite reliable setups. Brace yourselves.

As a Christian (a long long time ago) I remember seeing films and shows where the story was of a collection of sailors or explorers go to a remote island or part of the jungle and they found a remote primitive tribe sacrificing an innocent person to appease their deity. But it never once occurred to me back then that this is actually the doctrine of Christianity ✝️. An innocent man had to be sacrificed at the ‘altar’ for the sins of mankind to be forgiven. It’s weird how the Christian’s can’t see the parallel between the following two statements: 1) God needed the sacrifice of His son to prevent him from punishing mankind 2) The tribesmen had to sacrifice this innocent child to appease their god and prevent his punishment and anger upon them Think about it…
