I have a real love-hate relationship with owning an older home. There are constant projects and repairs to be done, which are not only costly but a real time sink. On the other hand, I really enjoy feeling capable and learning from each project and acquiring new knowledge. It’s just a real bitch in between the start and finish of the project where I don’t know what I’m doing and I can lose motivation because I feel like I don’t know what I’m doing and can’t do it. It’s a good metaphor for most things in life. Going through the chasm to completion is almost always the hardest part.

I’ve done a lot of incredible stupid and poorly thought out things in my life. Sometimes I run into folks that for whatever reason it was, I have to take some ownership of some pretty embarrassing things that I did. While it fucking sucks, it’s better to clean up the fuck ups rather than let them languish and become gangrenous.

While I have a big orchard (about 50 trees) I haven’t had a large garden in the last few years. After this last trip to the grocery store however, I really realized how much I’m getting fucked on subpar produce and products that I can grow and make much better for myself. I plan on doing a larger garden next year, adding about a dozen chickens (got two nice coops and a good area for a chicken run) and maybe three or four goats if I’m feeling ambitious. I know it’ll make traveling much more impractical and add about an hour more of chores each day, but I’m sick of making the trip to the store and losing so much on something that I’ve done much better before. I feel like the goats and the chickens will be the real game changers. I’ll need to up my preserving and fermentation game, which isn’t bad, I just need to do more of it.

To all those who make shitty negative comments that don’t add anything: It must suck to be you and feel so much hatred in your heart. I truly feel sorry for you and hope the grace of God will find you one day.

There is one cat-eating guy out there who took last night’s comments very personally.

I’ve been working on a musical for a number of years. It’s called: Drugs: The Musical There are three main characters and two are experienced with drugs, and one is not and is enquiring about the experiences that each drug is. Each new act is about a specific drug experience and creating a whole musical production that fits the aesthetics of that specific experience. The last two scenes they try all the drugs at once, go totally overboard and then have a final scene where they talk about moderation and sobriety and why those are great things too. Maybe one day…

I have an idea on how to use Nostr and zaps to make myself accountable to things that I wa t to commit myself to doing, BUT THEN I HAVE TO DO THEM! There just isn’t a short cut, damnit.

I really don’t like weight lifting—it’s hard, I have to push myself, and take responsibility for how I look and feel, which is hard in and of itself. However I do recognize that I almost always have a better mood, more motivation, and just a higher capacity to get shit done on the days that I do lift. I don’t wanna be fat, weak, and unhealthy when I’m 40, so I’d rather just eat the frog now and just accept that it is hard work and there is no way around that.

This lecture I gave at Baltic Honey badgering 2023 is one of my favorites and dives pretty deep into my political theory.

The future is so cypherpunk that it’s a bit banal, but in a hilarious kafkaesque kinda way.

Thank you all for helping me keep some sense of reality and that I’m not completely insane. Went to a normie dinner party tonight and people were looking at me like I was batshit crazy, and I was still just in the shallow end warming up. Some people never have their values challenged in any meaningful way nor actually look at them with a critical lens and it shows.

I’ll say it again, and I’ll keep saying it until people get it: I HAVE NO INTEREST IN GETTING NORMAL PEOPLE TO USE BITCOIN AND NOSTR I am only interested in getting those who demand self-sovereignty for themselves, and are unequivocally dedicated towards building a future where everyone owns their own data, and no one can cancel them or steal it away from them.
