#Bitcoin, as it is today, with no tweaks, is sufficient to lift millions out of poverty and protect them from vile authoritarian theft. The burden of proof rests solely and completely on the tweakers. If they don't like the inconvenience of being expected to prove to the nth degree that their proposed changes will not introduce exploitable risks, then they are not to be taken seriously as contributors.
