There's no such thing as "plant based milk". That is nut water. Nut water! Admittedly I can understand why they call it milk. The marketing of nut water would be challenging to say the least. Also for those who drink nut water conscientiously check the ingredients list to make sure you aren't drinking vegetable oil or a bunch of unnamable chemicals, flavour enhancers or dyes.

Several years ago I had a strong meditation habit. With life becoming joyfully busy I let this habit slide. Things were good and I didn't "need" it like a had before. Life is still peaceful and joyful but I recently started up against a new challenge that's been playing on my mind. So I started a 28 day meditation practice just to reboot some old neural pathways. I'm on day 4 and thrilled with how quickly the practice settles back in and surprise by how much of a difference I've noticed in my peace of mind. The slide into discomfort was slow and unnoticeable. Learning to meditate doesn't happen by accident. It takes a little effort and is worth it.

Due to what I am declaring my most successful Kombucha yet we now have passionfruit on the ceiling due to a volcanic fizz on opening. The beagle is helping with clean within her reach but we have vaulted ceilings and she is only short so now I'm in for a huge cleanup. And I can't stop smiling because I'm so cuffed with my fizzy passionfruit Kombucha. #kombucha #homemade

Fact: Cows kill more people than sharks and I'm honestly impressed that cows kill any sharks at all!

This handy fellow has moved into our bathroom. Neither of us like spiders but at this stage he's allowed to stay. He eats the bugs that bother us more.

With summer over the stats are in. A hot, dry summer with the rainfall in the lowest 5% recorded since 1900 in South Australia. Moving to our new home last year to be hit with this crazy dry weather has allowed us to learn a lot about our lands capacity and how to manage pasture and water. These are lessons that could have years to learn in easy times. Finding reasons to be grateful. #homesteading.
