Eureka!π
It works!ππ»π«πππ»π
I have a plug-in recharge car that came with a dual voltage portable charging cord. I've been charging it on 120v for years, plugging it in at midnight to get six hours of the lowest possible rates.
Recently I bought an adapter to connect the 240v plug to an unused electric dryer outlet and charge the car much faster.
Well, that worked great, but I still had to remember to plug the car in after midnight to get the cheap rate...
I thought I might try to automate the process with a real Rube Goldberg device, a circuit breaker toggled by a heavy-duty servo, run by a tiny Arduino Nano controller.
Then my Son suggested that I look at swimming pool controllers.
Sure enough, I found a suitable one that would switch a two-phase, 240 volt circuit. I've hooked it up, and by golly it works great! It saved me a lot of tinkering and experimentation.
This is a temporary lash-up where I have connected it and have been running it for three nights now, quite successfully.
The next step will be to actually run some official wiring and build an outlet into the wall at the end of the house.
The pool timer cost less than 40 bucks, delivered, from Amazon. If you decide to try this, be sure that you get one that will handle the electrical requirements of your vehicle.

THIS is how EVERY human state on the planet operates. It is the heart of the government where YOU live. It's time to WAKE UP, people, and admit that you have pledged your allegiance to a system run by demons:

Thanks, Derek! It's up and running like a champ.ππ»πππ
