At last month's local bitcoin meetup, I gave a brief presentation on personal self-sovereignty. Why do I consider this important?
For our bitcoin community to succeed and thrive, many (if not most) of us need to become aware of and ***unlearn*** a vast array of crippling falsehoods inculcated in us since birth. We must self-custody and begin actually using bitcoin among ourselves and in our surrounding community. While browsing nostr this morning, I found a remarkably relevant article.
Filled with insight and practical advice, ***"Breaking Free: Deprogramming State Dependence"*** will not merely open your eyes to the myriad ways you've been deceived, hamstrung, and plundered by a government that ***pretends*** to serve you while systematically ***abusing*** you; it will also suggest many small, actionable steps you can begin taking ***now*** to liberate your mind and restore powerful personal agency in a world gone mad. Here's a teaser:
***"The problem is not lack of understanding. The problem is that understanding alone does not cure learned helplessness. Reading Rothbard does not deprogram you. Watching YouTube lectures on Austrian economics does not break the conditioning. Agreeing intellectually that taxation is theft while filing your 1040 changes nothing."***
Read this brilliant article. Take one of the steps the author suggests ***today***, and set out on the road to greater self-sovereignty.

***"The state maintains power not primarily through force but through the belief that you cannot function without it. Each act of independence disproves that belief. Each demonstration of agency weakens the programming. Each small success makes the next attempt easier."***
***Thank*** you,
