proton’s new lumo ai looks cool, encrypted AI chats, looks similar to apple’s PCC?
i’ll play with the free version, but considering they’re using smaller models, not sure if it’d be worth paying for. i’m sure you’re paying for the privacy, but 🤷

Simon Willison poster about Mistral’s report on environmental impacts of their models
"which estimated ~100 London to New York flights with 350 passengers or around 5,100 US households for a year"
Quite an interesting observation imo 🤔

Some screenshots of the #macOS26 Tahoe beta 4 that was released earlier before being taken back… sourced from @xezrunner on Twitter
I’m not a fan at all, I’d hoped they’d go back to more of the earlier designs (w/ more readability) but nope, at a glance this doesn’t look LG
i’ve been having fun with OpenCode and Gemini’s free API + OpenRouter tbh, good alternative to Cursor that lets you use it at your own cost + it’s open source!
I have over 28,000 bluesky posts… ima find a way to download them all (including media), filter out the replies, then try to convert it into some sort of local journal thing i can search..
