omg I was wondering why I wasn’t hitting any cursor limits with GPT-5, it turns out they’re giving it out free with cursor atm!! everyone should try it, it’s actually insane and works really well
(don’t even need a debit card lol, I’m not paying for cursor and never have)

interesting note at the bottom of the OpenAI help centre is that all these models are deprecated with the launch of GPT-5, and old models can only be used as a ChatGPT Pro user ($200/month)

rip, the GPT-5 models are on OpenRouter now, but GPT-5 itself needs your own key from OpenAI.. mini and nano are fine

I’m happy with GPT-5, it’s nice that all users get it, it’s cheap via the API, and it’s the first (proper) good GPT coding model 
ChatGPT Plus is a super tempting deal now. Just months ago I had it for like 2-3 months whilst I was using it heavily to help me make study material (GCSEs), and since it has Codex, and waaaay more access to these new GPT-5 models. 😅
