an interesting thing I’ve noticed within my year group, is that since USB-C has become the standard for charging phones (Android & iPhone), iPads, laptops, etc, people have literally just been able to borrow each others cables and not have to bother checking if it fits, or bring multiple types

every usb-c dongle ever will be advertised with a MacBook in the product photo
