If Truth Social pivots to nostr, I believe they could overtake the nostr market easily because currently the market belongs to amethyst and primal. Since Truth Social has a lot of money and already have a userbase. All they need is a good dev team. They could win it but I think the people leading Truth Social are not Bitcoiners so maybe they aren't even exposed to it and not thinking clearly.

The Gems system on Truth Social is a fail. You need to pay 9.99 a month for a package that gives you access to their online tv, then you start receiving gems for posting, boosting etc. You can then cash out those gems, which are probably worth pennies and not enough to cover your 9.99 Who came with this ridiculous idea? Truth Social is only good for seeing what Trump is saying. They should pivot Truth Social into nostr, it's still early. They could easily beat amethyst and primal, which are currently the top nostr clients.

People are willing to pay for a coffee every day because it gives them instant satisfaction, but paying for social media doesn't give them instant satisfaction and doesn't produce much of anything, in fact it might make them angry because of a conversation. If they were to pay 1.99 a month, but make 5.99 a month from their notes, the attitude would change and most would be willing to pay for social media but still, the coffee wins hands down because you still have to make an effort to make money off your posts in order to get the satisfaction of earning that 5.99 every month. The cup of coffee is just too powerful and we are not at the stage where you can make money off your social media posts, at least more then what your monthly subscription costs.

Paying for social media is something the average person doesn't want to do because it's brings almost no value into their lives, especially for the price that most of them are asking for. The price they are willing to pay, is not enough to make a decent profit. There is more important things pay for than paying for social media. This is the reality, will nostr change this? yes it will, but slowly and not anytime soon, in the far future, so until then you will continue to bear the costs

The subscribe feature, that's the feature where you can pay 5.99 or so in order to support each individual profile on X was a fail. Almost nobody uses it, and almost nobody subscribes. It's a terrible business model and way too expensive. No matter what social media companies try and do in order to make money, it's always almost a fail.
