Almost everyone building nostr clients have spent too much time on X that they are literally building X all over again. According to chatgpt It’s absolutely possible to build a Nostr client with a Facebook-style friend request system. Instead of everyone being able to reply to everything, you could have: 🤝 Send Friend Request ✅ Accept / Decline 👥 Friends-only replies 🌎 Optional public posts 🚫 Non-friends can’t enter your conversations unless you allow it Nostr can still handle identity, notes, relays, and signatures underneath. The client can add the social permission layer on top. Following someone wouldn’t automatically make you friends either. Both people would have to agree. I think a lot of people would prefer this over the completely open model where anyone can jump into your replies, react etc I might have to build this.

this is a test in blocking the damus & primal relay

The problem with the POW club is that it requires me to use my own CPU power in return for nothing. The free relay mafia are trying to get us to us our resources through POW so they can have free open relays. Well that's too bad. I'm not falling for it. Fighting spam is their duty not mine. I already blocked most spam by blocking the damus relay and other ones. I have no need for POW. It's just wasted CPU resources which gives me no return on investment.

I have bad news everyone, I decided to leave the pow 21 club. I tried it for a week and i feel I am not seeing a practical benefit. If I was getting paid for it maybe it would be different but It's just using my CPU power. So I turned the feature off in amethyst.

My life has been less stressful since I blocked the damus relay. I think more people should block or stop using it since it's full of spammers and bots.

The rumble wallet sucks! It always logs you out and you need to log back in. I haven't even been able to send a Bitcoin lightning tip to anyone.

Rumble studio used for live streaming has been down all day so I couldn't record my live streams today. Luckily I use YouTube as a backup so my live stream recorded there.

amethyst has a "block relay" in the settings. I've never tried it before but I just blocked the damus relay. The Damus relay is full of spam. Might have to add the primal relay too. #damus #primal

I rarely enter streams that are labeled 24/7 but I was curious about what stream provider backend that are using. I entered this stream and it sounds like a Nintendo old school NES game. The music was quite enjoyable. It seems these 24/7 are constantly live streaming to all platforms. When I have a full mar & catoshi music album maybe I'll setup a 24/7 mar and catoshi radio station! haha
