On amethyst if you go to Setting-> Relays- Scroll down to almost the bottom. Where it says "Connected Relays" There is about 300 relays on mine. I suspect this is why spam is getting through to those who are using amethyst. Amethyst is connecting to hundreds of these relays. Why is amethyst connecting to these relays? The user never asked to be connected to them. We should speak about this issue because its loss of control for the user. I already have about 7 relays in my Public Inbox. I don't need hundreds that allow spam to run on their relays.

I just removed a bunch of people from my watchlist. On LFL, you can sort all the npubs you follow by “Last Online.” Turns out, quite a few people I was following haven’t been active on Nostr for years, and some appear to have deleted or abandoned their accounts. There’s really no point in continuing to follow inactive npubs forever. I think follows should expire after a year unless you manually confirm that you still want to follow that person. It would help clean up abandoned accounts and keep your follow list relevant. Nostr definitely still has room for improvement.

there's rumors that there is a new spam bot attack wave on nostr. We haven't even got rid of the imad bots. We're not ready or prepared. The devs have no idea how to solve the spam issue. They keep implementing all kinds of features but it doesn't work. the spam bots are winning!

Primal has been down for a while. It says unable to connect. LOL. Primal is very centralized. Don't be foolish and get a subscription or recommend it. Use Amethyst.

Yesterday my chatgpt subscription usage went from like 80 to 0. I thought it was because I was asking it too many questions on high. Guess it was a bug. They fixed it I didn't tell anyone because I really thought I over used it. YAY it's fixed.

In the notifications area I see at the top a big button that says donate to the amethyst devs. I can't zap the amethyst devs it says "No Zap Amount Setup. Long Press to change" Also, I remember one time that button worked but zapping lots of people is weird. If I zap 1k sats it splits them or something amoung them all. I wish I could just pick an amount to zap each dev. For example. 1K to every dev instead amethyst chosing the amounts for me. Every time I click that donate button it doesn't work half the time.

shosho made a bridge to pull owncast live streams into the shosho website. I was reading some of the comments and watching some owncast streamers, and they were confused and wondering how they ended up on a streaming website they never heard of. They were also confused to what "nostr" is. They never heard of nostr. I'm on the same boat. I never heard of owncast until shosho talked about it. Good job to the shosho master. We're going to plant seeds and get those steamers over to shosho and nostr.

Why can't i delete old DM conversations in my DM amethyst inbox. I want to delete everything in my DM but it's not possible. So annoying. I'm tired of seeing them in my DM box.
