GM and happy Samhain to those who are celebrating. Across the Celtic world Samhain was considered to be the end of the old year and the start of the new. Candles were lit to help guide the should of the deceased to the afterlife, since this was thought to be the day the wall between this world and the next was considered to be at it's thinnest.
