I always liked the look of Briar but could never get enough people to try it out - it uses Bluetooth mesh networking but also allows for two devices connected to the same WiFi network to connect - this seemed like a sensible option because Bluetooth is too limited in the real world and would require everyone running it in the area around you. From the sounds of it, Bitchat being limited to just Bluetooth isn't going to work in its current state. It's still a great idea.

Today has been interesting. Woke up to a noisy inconsiderate person blaring their badly tuned radio out, saw I'd been billed more than expected for a service, saw a white squirrel on the way to the fiat mine, actually had a good time at the mine, heading back to the boat via a mates place and got a call from another mate to say she'd flooded her flat right through. Of course, I did the decent thing and spent the last three hours bailing and mopping. This weekend I'm going out on the boat and switching off all comms for 24 hours. I need peace 🙏

Thanking God for today's bountiful harvest, many fruits, some veg. I've been able to give some food packages to my father and grandfather and several friends and the best bit is, there's more to come. I love this time of year. #growstr

Good evening #nostr - 9 years ago today my life changed, bigly. I mean, sure, there's been a lot of changes over the years, but some moments help define us. In this instance, it was a woman whose influence on me was disproportionate to any possible expectations. The next morning we listened to and enjoyed this tune and it still makes me remember her fondly. Women are amazing.
