Formerly @PortsmouthBTC on The Dead Bird.
Used to do some stuff. Finally started doing stuff again.
Possibly the only Bitcoiner to have *actually* lost everything in a boating accident.

I don't ask for much...

Shout out to all my #nostr friends - can anyone spare a few minutes to play around with @Plume please? Done a load of changes, it's still got some bugs, but I want to find out what works and what doesn't for people.
Many thanks to anyone who does ๐
Got the discovery carousel up to a reasonable standard and have now added the public discovery carousel. That's a baited hook. Click an item, it'll load the persons public profile view. Want to interact? You'll have to log in, or create an account.
Hopefully this is something which will prove the value of the nostr network before people even consider creating an account.

Out for a walk to exercise my back and my favourite route is blocked off.

Memories ๐

GM #nostr friends. Trying not to think about the pain today, too much to do. Meat space tasks then debugging the new discovery feature in Plume. Hope you're all having a good day. If you're in good health, remember to take a moment to be thankful for that ๐
I remember when the UK wasn't like this.

Right, I'm off to bed. I've done enough today. Sleep well #nostr and GM to the nostriches that are just getting up ๐ฅณ
Quite happy with how this is looking. Much refinement to be done, however.

Just to give you an idea of what's coming, we now have content discovery carousels in the feed in Plume. They're not perfect yet, and they need refinement, but the essential idea is in place and, as near as damnit, actually works. Check it out. There'll be a public, not logged in view too, soon.

I like that I just found someone on Amethyst and wondered what else they do so copied their npub, went to plume and saw that they also have a market place listing. That's the point of Plume, to surface some of the other stuff.
There's more other stuff to add, plus links to other useful clients- that's a biggy, but this evening I'm going to focus on easing content discovery and creating a hook for the new user flow.

Two days from now I'll have a 23yo daughter. I find that quite amazing. She'll be the same age I was when she was born.
She's a better person than I was ๐
Hello @Rizful.com - just noticed your bot is responding to a scam post

The state may argue that it should be able to track all your financial movements and in Bitcoin that's certainly possible, but in contrast, you have the right to privacy not just from the state, but from everyone you have financial dealings with, from companies to individuals. Tools which enable you to express those rights are needed. I'm gutted about the Samurai case, because it's a direct attack on all privacy, not just from the state.
Watching the olde classic Dantes Peak. Reminds me of much more innocent times, in my life and in the world in general.
