GM #nostr - tearful moments this morning and awkwardness because of family fall outs which are always amplified in moments like this. Thankyou all for the kind wishes yesterday and Thursday. I was blessed to reach 46 and still have a grandfather. Not all are so fortunate. One day soon I'll share the tale of how I ended up meeting my daughters mother and the hand my grandad played in that 😂 Hope you're all enjoying Saturday 🙏

Got a phone call earlier my grandfather passed earlier this evening. Obviously very sad. But he was a great man, who lead a great life, a man who was loved by many, a man who loved many. I may share stories soon, since they're what really matter. That's the thing that makes it so sad, I think. A little piece of you dies with them. All the moments you shared, all those memories of you, gone. A part of your own story is lost to time. My grandfather wasn't an overly religious man, but I know he's somewhere good now. Hug your loved ones. 🙏

The really sad thing is, I could easily believe this is true.

GM #nostr - started the day with a nice healthy blocking spree. We curate our own feeds and there's certsin content I'm not interested in yet keep seeing, so, today, a tidy up. Gotta keep things healthy.

Not gonna lie, I'm getting fed up with this openclaw thing, I'm just going around in circles. I can get it to respond in the terminal but the moment I try and use WhatsApp it just...doesn't. If this carries on I'm just gonna nuke the vps and finally get on with the Plume relay.

A thought on the core/110 debate. Some of the responses I've seen are typical of modern discourse and below the standard I'd expect from this community. If people can't lift themselves out from the gutter then we've all lost already. Personally I'm in favour of not storing pointless data on the timechain. #Bitcoin exists for one purpose and one purpose only - the disintermediation of the banking system. Anything beyond that belongs elsewhere. Of course, I'm open to compelling arguments why other people's computers should be used to store random strangers random data, but I honestly can't think of any myself.
