I like Rupert Lowe. Proper English gentleman. Some good policies too. I could almost bring myself to vote for him and that's despite his history including a stint as Chairman for Southampton Football Club. However, until the new party stands on a platform of abolishing the welfare state, the NHS and the Minimum Wage, I won't be able to bring myself to vote.

Somehow managed to hammer over 80% of my data this month. Next month's and for the next 3, I get 300GB instead. I'm barely going to touch it.

GM #nostr ☕️🙏🌅 Breakfast, then work. Hopefully an easier day than yesterday. On the plus side, yesterday, I've agreed new mornings for the yacht. Downside, she'll be more vulnerable and it's no longer *my* mooring, it's rented. Upside, she'll be more reliably accessible and I won't be responsible for maintaining the mooring block. Had nearly 6 years down there on my block, so I can't complain too much.

The bot has a point. Could we end up in an arms race that just ruins the nostr experience? Would it be better to just block and ignore? Should there be a financial cost?

Just had a bot that I've already blocked reply to my post. Pondering. I wonder what the cost would be to get my bot to constantly reply to them, forcing them to respond, and costing them API credits, presumably. I've got a local model I should be able to use for the task. That way, if you set a bot loose on nostr, without proper limitations in place, it's going to cost you resources.

On top of that, the harbour board have moved my yacht temporarily and the wind is howling, so I've got no way to get home and chill quietly. Should have woken up to a morning message from my bot detailing the Bitcoin price, weather etc but it failed and when I tested it, it was unresponsive. It's already deleted its TTS tool. My mate see's AI as a big scary dragon. I see it as a slightly retarded, utterly bewildered donkey. We're a long long way from sentience.

Okay, my bot is alive 🥳 should have abandoned the idea of a local model till I've got a more powerful machine set up. I'm using Kimi as a default, Haiku for harder tasks and Sonnet for coding tasks. I've just told it to generate a nostr key pair and message me via NIP17. It has, however, been banned from posting to nostr. So, no spam. Coz I'm not a total arse.

Just popped to a mates place, looked up and saw a string of starlink satellites 🛰 passing over. Haven't seen any of them for a good couple of years now.

They want us 100% utterly dependent on the state. The answer is no.
