The cloud is a physical reality, not a metaphor. Fossil fuels aren’t fossils. Power controls narratives by renaming abundance and scarcity to suit its interests.

2026 will be a breaking-point year for AI, not because of a lack of models, but because of a collision with physical reality: artificial intelligence is not ethereal software, it is hard, voracious, and barely modular infrastructure that demands firm megawatts, extreme bandwidth, complex cooling, and industrial-scale timelines. Capital was raised as if scaling AI were equivalent to scaling cloud, yet a 10-MW AI data center consumes power and connectivity on the scale of cities or entire countries, which explains why there are far more announcements than real deployments. The technology ran ahead of the infrastructure, and the coming filter will not separate good models from bad ones, but those who can turn energy and infrastructure into real compute from those who only built promises.

Pretending to talk about Bitcoin as if it were isolated from what’s happening in the world is a snobbish hobby for people who still don’t understand what Bitcoin actually is. Bitcoin is pure mathematics, yes, but its message is political. We do politics every time we put food in our mouths, every time we choose what to wear, every time we decide how to move from one place to another. Everything is politics. Trying to strip Bitcoin from that reality is like trying to have sex in a sterilized operating room. Clean, controlled and completely disconnected from life.

Honestly, I have no idea if I did this right! I flashed a script onto a $15 wireless e-paper tag (the kind used for store price labels) so it displays the BTC/USD price, updating every two minutes. Is it overkill? Probably. Is it beautiful? Absolutely. Is it Bitcoin? Yes. Code is public, repo is open.
