Today, while mowing, I saw my first #snake on the new #homestead, an Eastern Coachwhip. I need a dash-cam on the mower deck! It scurried away quite quickly. #TN #SWTN #WestTN
Day 10 of #skoolie life, we're finally on the road again. The transmission is now fixed. We drove 366 miles today and now staying at a farm in south #PA. They happen to have awesome #cheese, #eggs, #rawmilk, #soap. Unfortunately, they are out of #meat. Tomorrow's plan is to to get to south west #VA.
After Sunday's #skoolie disaster and 5 days living in a mechanic shop parking lot, the rebuilt transmission is installed and road tested. Fingers crossed we are going to leave early in the morning hopefully bypassing any #NY traffic and continuing our journey towards #TN. The #solar batteries are being topped up from 20a outlet (no #solar panels yet) and almost full. Without them, it would have been difficult. Big thanks to Harvey's Services in Holland #MA and our mechanic Damon for being patient and thorough.
