I want to share with you my interpretation of a God Candle feeling. For me this is a divine light. The green light. Made sense delivering this painting in a holy place, not to provoke, but quite the opposite. This is where I made piece with my conflicts against religion. 03 - "The Lighting Speed" The disruptive speed of Lightning (network) will hit every major city. ₿ is inevitable.

I decided to make this little painting to bring with me on this short trip to London and spread the project out of Portugal borders. This painting name is related to the name of the current most used 2nd layer for Bitcoin transactions. To give you context, nowadays a transaction on a traditional banking system can transfer money that takes 2 or 3 days to be settled. Then we have credit lines which are our 2nd layers and faster ways to make transactions and payments that will be settled by the bank later on their ledgers. On Bitcoin blockchain it’s similar. We can make a Bitcoin transfer OnChain that will take usually 10min to 1 day, or we can send smaller amounts via Lightning Network (2nd layer) that lands on the other side instantaneously. After the previous explanation, it becomes more clear that the lightning on the painting is associated with this velocity hitting hard at the speed of light upon us. It means that no matter where you live or where you are, Bitcoin is able to reach you and everybody else at lightning speed. The tones gives us a feeling of an old city, to make a contrast with this advanced technology disrupting everything we know from the past. I chose an icon in London to mark this important trip for personal reasons. The London Tower suits the purpose of the concept in a way that a bridge is a quick way to pass over the river to the other side. Like the Lightning Network, It’s a way to cross the bridge over all the censorship, permissions and control on our transactions from the banking system and the government. Hope you like it.
