The 12 full seconds of silence at 45:52 after which Michael says he had his company’s Bitcoin strategy “figured out pretty well fairly early on” was the most baller moment on any pod this year. Maybe ever lol. If I hadn’t been looking at the changing camera cuts, I seriously would have thought my earbuds had powered down. View quoted note →

Is the downtrend in Google search for Bitcoin more a result of the fact that nobody is using basic search anymore? #asknostr

I took the last of the Red Onions since I didn’t grow a ton of them. I sliced and dehydrated and vacuum sealed them for use in the 5oz dehydrated instant soups I make for hunting. 4-5 dry ounces feeds two adults with a mix of dehydrated onion, orzo pasta, broccoli, tomatoes, salt, chili peppers and celery. Then a separate 2 tbsp pak of beef or chicken bouillon powder. All you do is put it in a pot of water before you go out for your afternoon hunt, and after about four hours it has rehydrated to the point where you can just warm it up on the Coleman stove or the fire. These USB rechargeable jar sealers and O2 absorbers do the trick. #prepping #grownostr

Craziest thing today. It’s about 2pm and I stop at one of my worksites to monitor progress and make sure the guys are going to be able to finish their job by end of day so we are free to go to a new job tomorrow. So I’m talking to my one operator and all of a sudden I feel a sting on my left bicep. I say “Oh shit” and lift up my sleeve. Me and my operator are staring at this little bastard wasp still gyrating his rear end into me like it was giving my arm a deluxe lap dance. No big deal, I just picked it off and continued talking to our guy. I bid the crew farewell and walked to my truck. All of a sudden I start feeling just…..weird. My entire body starts itching, my neck starts swelling, and even my eardrums start feel like they are inflating like little balloons. I instantly put two and two together that I was having an allergic reaction. So I wheel around to the nearest corner store to see if they have any Benadryl, and by some miracle they did. I dropped two tabs and continued north to my next estimate. I got about 3 miles north of town and the itching and ear pressure is getting worse, and I could tell the lymph nodes in my neck were really swollen. Then slowly I start feeling this pressure in my chest as I continued driving. Having been a first responder and first aid attendant years ago, I immediately knew this was the onset of anaphylaxis. My skin was getting clammy, the hairs on my arms were standing on end, and I felt a distinct chill. I’ve been stung by countless wasps and insects over the years, and have never experienced anything beyond a little localized swelling. So I decided what the heck, I might as well take advantage of the fact that I’m not in severe cardiac or respiratory distress and go to Emerg. So here I am now, two shots of epinephrine, one shot of methylprednisolone, a bag of saline and a cautionary EKG later, waiting while the doctor monitors me for a few more hours. I feel like I could have left long ago, but they just want to make sure I’m not going to need another shot of epi. My arm kind of looks like a balloon though. Hard to believe all this from a wasp that was only half an inch long at most. It looks like I’m going to want to pack an epi pen with me when I’m in the bush from now on.

I love my parents, but they have definitely never questioned many things about why their purchasing power has declined so greatly over 7 decades. And they’re absolutely still sold on mainstream news. It’s been quite the psyop in North America since the 1950’s. #killyourtv #wakeup #grownostr #stacksats

I think it’s definitely beneficial when you talk to friend and family no coiners about Bitcoin, to urge them to come talk to you first, before they just go ahead and ape in with no discussion about cost basis, time preference, anticipated upcoming price action, or worse yet, without them developing any plan or skills regarding self custody. That five minute convo before they dump their entire bonus onto some exchange you’d never be caught dead using, can be pretty important. It can really save them from being soured on the whole revolution from a bad first experience. I see men especially not utilizing offers for help because of arrogance, and making noobish mistakes that I could have helped them avoid. #bitcoin #btcmentor

Instituting chemical warfare doctrine again in the office tomorrow. Look out! Homegrown sautéed onions with steak strips, in nearly a QP of beef tallow, steak spice and pepper. I don’t think the dog is interested though. Naw. #foodstr #dogstr #grownostr

Oh man I don’t know what it is about these homegrown onions straight from the garden. I had the rest of the liver and onions I made Monday night for lunch today. Our one estimator came into my office at four and I could see the edges of his nostrils curling when he walked in. I’ve been ripping one three times a minute since 1 PM. #gasstr #grownostr
