From what I can tell from limited testing, even with background app refresh on and notifications active, #bitchat doesn’t show you as connected if the app is minimized or your Home Screen is locked. Is this others’ experience? #asknostr

It’s kind of crazy that the climate, geopolitical and economic picture in North America is very similar to the conditions in 1929. You’d almost think things were cyclical or something. #fourthturning #gardening #hardmoney #preparedness

Too funny. Well done. The last frames should zoom out and show a giant inbound meteor labeled “Unnecessary PR’s”. 🌶️ View quoted note →

If anyone has yet to see it, this is likely the best movie I’ve seen in at least half a year. Based on a true story. Available on Prime. Absolutely heart stopping. #moviestr #grownostr image

When I hear economic forecasts talk about civil unrest being the result of upcoming government measures failing at achieving certain economic goals, I really wonder if that is the case. If we aren’t already stopping going to work for a couple months to get their attention, it’s obvious that we can be pushed much further into austerity before the people make life uncomfortable for the powers that be. My guess, and looking at history, is that the masses will wait till they start missing food for up to 72hrs at a time before they wake up and start looking for non-state solutions. #bitcoin #grownostr

My wife said she was going to wake up early and have a shower tomorrow. So I said I was sorry that I likely wouldn’t get to kiss her before I left for work. She said, “I’m telling you so you can hop in there with me.” I just texted our GM and told him I would be three minutes late for work tomorrow. 😉

I got some duck eggs from a local for the first time today. Quite the size difference vs a chicken egg, understandably. I can’t wait to try one tomorrow. #eggstr #grownostr image

This will end up being known as one of the best books that make the case for Bitcoin as a way to opt out of the fiat slavery system. I just finished it. First it lays out the problem for the reader. The way the fiat system extracts our stored life and work energy, mostly without peoples’ knowledge that it is even happening. For without first laying out the problem, the need for hard money makes less sense. It’s not until late in the book that the book even mentions Bitcoin. A good move on the author’s part. It’s fair to say that humans perceive far less than 1% - probably orders of magnitude less - of what’s physically and potentially perceivable at any place and time. “We live in a narrow tunnel carved out of the vastness of reality.” #philosphy #grownostr

I couldn’t safely take down this one heavily leaning remaining pipe on this dead Willow without getting my buddy’s orchard ladder, lest I take out the fence or do some sketchy balancing act with the chainsaw on top of the rest of the stump, without a tie-in. No thanks. Hopefully the neighbours don’t take it the wrong way lol. #flipthebird #grownostr

Wow! Out of the blue my wife was gifted this custom end grain cutting board made by a local retiree who creates these out of his home shop. It weighs about 12 pounds. A lifetime of meat and produce will grace its surface I am sure. I’m currently trying to get some more information on what kind of wood it is. #woodworking #grownostr
