A new experiment. Water glassing eggs. 29g of food grade Calcium Hydroxide Ca(OH)2 dissolved in 1 quart of filtered water, poured over 16 eggs in a separate 2 quart jar. Vacuum sealed and placed in a cool, dark spot. I’m planning on opening it in six months and frying up a few. Not to be confused with the traditional Sodium Silicate method, Calcium Hydroxide seals the pores on the shell for medium term shelf stable storage of 6-12 months. #preserving #prepping #grownostr
