I think about whether I will remain humble, respectful and tolerant if and when I no longer need to be. I like to think I will be. And charitable to boot.
I don’t remember flus lasting two weeks and making life a living fever dream when I was a kid. A day or two of cartoons on the couch and I was back at ‘er. That was it. The walks are snowing in faster than I can muster the strength to clear them. The whole family in the same boat. Still under the lash to maintain attendance at work or choose to start 2026 behind the 8 ball. December ‘25 is testing my will and my resolve. Praying for better days. #sickstr
Fantastic episode @Shawn ! Good stuff. I think it behooves us all to get the rails in place BEFORE we need them. To be able to transact value and have seamless private conversion capability between BTC and whatever goods or currencies we need in a pinch, at any moment, on short notice.

Every time I see this, I’m reminded that we moved here from a place with the warmest average climate in the country when the 2008 GFC gutted the job market there. After my employer’s company failure, mass layoffs, receivership, 17 months of unemployment, and 170 local job applications, I sent ONE resume up here. ONE. I got hired for double the salary I ever made back home. Now I know why.
