How to get started as new user on Nostria:

GM! Nostria version 1.1 is feature complete and should be released very soon. We've been working very hard adding a lot of new features, and improving the quality has been focus at the end of 1.1 development. The feeds are much more performant, quicker to load, built in local caching, it will even show you events if you are offline. Many new features added, profiles has improved (we love the new badges displayed on the profile), the feeds (if you are early adopter, make sure you reset your feeds from the menu) has been optimized and a lot more. There is still more to do, so please keep the feedback coming.

We're happy to announce that Nostria now supports comments! That means you can add comment on events such as playlists, videos, pictures and more. While this is just one new feature, we have added a lot of new features recently, too many to add here. Please give Nostria a go at

Nostria is getting better every day! Multiple times a day, we are deploying an updated version of Nostria. New features and quality improvements is added continuously. We just added the ability to turn Client Tags on and off. You'll see beside the Save Bookmark button which Nostr client the author is using (if they publish the client tag). Many other new features added today, more will come tomorrow!

We're happy to announce we have added Coracle's indexer (discovery) relay to our two-way sync setup with all our Discovery Relays. Nostria hosts multiple discovery relays, and we have two-way sync with Coracle and Purplepages. There is one-way sync with Damus and Primal, to ensure a robust collection of kind 10002 events for quick and robust lookup of accounts on Nostr.

The media player can now be expanded to a full view. This is great when watching a playlist of YouTube music videos on Nostria.

Nostria will never display how many is "following" another account. This is a metric that acts as appeal to authority, instead of looking at actual content, words, meanings and how they affect us, improve us and help us. Anyone can buy bots to boost their "following" or "likes". What we must build is software that makes this issue completely mute. Nostr as a protocol, does allow us to build this. We should all follow other content creators for their content. Nostria has a local "algorithm" that decides what you will see, and it is based upon your usage of Nostria. When you interact with someone, it increases the likelihood that you'll be seeing their content again. This happens on your device, not controlled by a secret and hidden centralized algorithm. Our locally run "algorithm", is not there to keep you engaged as much as possible, but help you experience content from the creators that matters to you. We want your money, nothing else. We want to deliver premium services that make you willing to part with your money. Follow us for more, we are getting very close to our initial release of Nostria! 💜

Sign up with Nostria and be discoverable globally! Even if you're only connected to a single, even a personal relay, you'll be discoverable due to the published relay list to a discovery relay. Nostria hosts Discovery Relays in different regions, and syncs with Purplepages. All Discovery Relays are synced together, so new accounts are discoverable, no matter where they are regionally located.
