Full bloom underway in the prunes. And next week bud break in the grapes

Bloom time, prune time. The next ten days is the critical time for the crop to be set for the year…fingers crossed no major winds, frost or heat…our ability to stack sats this year depends on it. 🤞

We got a break in the rain yesterday and had a chance to move half the flock from the walnut orchards to the vineyard. Spring time is awesome
Prune bloom is coming one week from now everything will be white with blossoms

Tagging, health checks, weighing today and here we go. Orchard and vineyard grazing crew prepping for work
Lake Berryessa’s Gloryhole is flowing. It never gets old seeing this

Bottling time. Almost all small wineries use mobile bottling. Think “rent a bottle line” truck shows us and we bottle 1-2 days as much as we can and then off goes the truck, and finished wine stays at the winery ready for the bottle aging process to begin. #nostrwine #lowtimepreference
Calm before the storm. A quiet winery today. But bottling starts tomorrow. Three days of bottling coming up. White wines up first. Chardonnay, Roussanne, Viognier and our Estate blend

This is one of the reasons why people still stay in California. Transplants can be planted outside today February 22. It’s 75 degrees out with nighttime temps in the mid 40s. Basically a year round growing season

WineClub pickups this weekend. Sun is out and grass is growing. Spring lambs move into the vineyard on Monday. Almond blooms is in full swing and the seasons are changing in Northern California.

Storm is rolling in. We are supposed to get over 2” in the next 12 hours. Great for the water supply. Not good for the neighbors in socal in the burned areas 🙏

Awesome evening at the Yolo County cattleman’s and woolgrowers association annual event. There was some awesome meat and wine pairings going on here tonight.

“Dry January” in more ways than one. Now looking outside it looks like “Blackout drunk” February

Price drop…Sale, sale limited time only everything is on sale! #BTC sale #stack sats
Finally some rain is on its way. We have some thirsty wheat that will really appreciate a drink
