For those of us who’ve actually lived long enough to remember what decorum felt like, not the fantasy of it, the real thing, this moment is surreal. We’ve seen dark chapters before, Vietnam, Watergate, all of it, and even then there was at least a thin membrane of civility holding the whole thing together. Now we’re watching politics spin into a kind of unhinged theatre I honestly didn’t think was possible. Part of me laughs for half a minute, and then the other part says, hold on… we’re actually losing the plot. And you know this as well as I do: not that long ago, if you even whispered about the existence of “pedophile rings” , using their own terminology , or hinted at deeper layers of corruption, you’d be dismissed as one of the darkest conspiracy theorists alive. A lunatic. Completely beyond the pale. Then suddenly, as if someone snapped their fingers, the forbidden became discussable. And people, people who never said a word before, are now admitting that something was profoundly wrong, something corrosive and predatory that’s only now being dragged into the light through the Epstein network. And it’s not just about child exploitation; it touches everything: power, eugenics, crypto, the whole tangled architecture of influence and shadow economies. It’s like the veil slipped, and now everyone’s pretending they always saw what was underneath.
