Who has been leading the charge that this core upgrade will be the end of Bitcoin?
People who literally get their livelihood from engagement and fear-bait around this theory (whether personal socials or literally companies that stand to benefit from this)
The incentives are so fucking clear at this point. This should’ve been a boring nonissue from the jump.
Classic night in the Walsh household as my wife and I are taking turns eating and dealing with the baby.
Wife is putting her to bed in the other room, and this text exchange is true love 🥹
Honestly I can’t tell if “killing Satoshi” is going to be a film focusing on the underdog and incredible creation of Bitcoin against global finance, or a film portraying it as an evil, shadowy creation.
We’ll see 🤷🏼♂️
Remember when Kanye said he was going to buy the earth so that he could be king, then he’d take all the smartest people in the world and make them work on mechanical bees
“In addition to GDP being stored on the blockchain, we’ll also be releasing the Epstein files via the blockchain as well. Trump is the crypto president, after all!”

I’m gonna go with the builders, the doers, the freedom tech fighters
Every time
We’ve got a peaceful revolution happening in the goddamn belly of the beast
At this point I truly, unequivocally, do not see any reason to be against what core is proposing in remove the op return limit. I’ve tried to research as much as possible on it as the noise (and accusations) grow louder. I’m not technical, but I try to study history, current discourse, and legal precedent as best as I possibly can.
I believe in consensus rules, the free market fee limit, and that arbitrary data storage was happening anyway and now it will be more transparent
Good day!
Ok last one. This is fucking insane — some Bitcoiners going so hard against inscriptions that they’re publicly suggesting devs and builders could (but really they’re saying *should*) face prosecution. I’m speaking up more because this annoying noise is turning into straight up harmful behavior to Bitcoin development and freedom tech.
Inscriptions aren’t the enemy. These people (hand in hand with favorable govt attacks and prosecution they’d support) are. The fuck are we doing here?
I’ve literally seen people say “core is liberal knots is conservative” and that’s everything you need to know about what this “technical” debate is
Ideological bullshit
