Holiday weekends hit different after 11 years in prison. They used to mean an extra visit day. Now I get to spend Labor Day at home. I'm thinking of my friends and their families who are still in that visitation room. I feel so lucky I made it out. Happy Labor Day, everyone!

Freedom is everything. Few people can survive without it and stay positive and constructive; you seem to be one of those few. Amazing 🍀 Last week I visited the "Stasi-Museum" in Berlin (https://www.stasimuseum.de/en/enindex.htm). Even while visiting a museum, I could feel (or imagine) how the lack of freedom was sucking out vital energy. Unfortunately, the value of freedom is often abstract unless one experiences its loss. Thank you for sharing your story.
