I just got a color eink android tablet. Everything about it is worse than a smartphone, except that it emits zero blue light, and its less addicting than a traditional smartphone. So far I like it quite a bit, eye strain has improved dramatically, and watching video is still possible. The same company sells eink smartphones so I might get one of those when my current phone is up for renewal.
