🇲🇨 #Monaco: The targets of Monday’s bombing in Monaco at the Sun Palace were members of the family of Ukrainian oligarch Vadym Yermolaiev, who was injured in the blast alongside several relatives. Yermolaiev renounced his Ukrainian citizenship in 2019 and later acquired Cypriot citizenship. The suspect remains unidentified, and no motive has been established. French authorities have also opened an investigation after reports that the suspect, who allegedly left a backpack containing explosives, nails, and pellets near the building’s entrance, fled to France following the explosion. Yermolaiev, one of Ukraine’s wealthiest businessmen, relocated to Monaco in 2021 and was sanctioned by Ukraine in 2023 over his business activities in Crimea following its annexation by Russia. 🇨🇳 #China - 🇷🇺 #Russia: Russian troops secretly underwent military training in China last year to support Moscow's war effort in Ukraine, according to Reuters. The training, reportedly approved at the highest levels by the Russian Ministry of Defence, included radiological, biological and chemical (RBC) warfare, chemical reconnaissance, radiation reconnaissance, and protection against contaminated environments. 🇺🇦 #Ukraine - 🇷🇺 #Russia: Ukrainian drone strikes have destroyed the road bridge in the Russian-occupied settlement of Hranitne, Donetsk Oblast, causing it to collapse. The bridge formed part of the H20 highway linking the Russian-occupied cities of Mariupol and Donetsk. 🇹🇭 #Thailand - 🇲🇾 #Malaysia: Two Malaysian nationals were seriously injured after an improvised explosive device (IED) detonated near their vehicle while they were driving past a roadside culvert in Thailand's Tak Bai district yesterday. Thai authorities said the IED was intended to target a military vehicle, but instead detonated beneath the tourists' car as it passed by. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, although the device's characteristics (reportedly radio-controlled and containing around 70 kg of explosives concealed inside a gas cylinder) match IEDs previously used by insurgents operating in southern Thailand. 🇧🇬 #Bulgaria: A drone was discovered in the Black Sea, around 2 km east of Bulgaria's Albena resort. A specialized Bulgarian Navy team located and destroyed the drone. The discovery comes just a day after the Bulgarian Navy destroyed another drifting drone found seven nautical miles east of Kranevo, on June 26th. The drone's origin is currently unknown. 🇷🇺 #Russia: Since mid-May, the Gazprom-owned vessel "Marshal Vasilevskiy" which delivers critical energy supplies to Russia's exclave of Kaliningrad, has been equipped with heavy Kord machine guns mounted in sandbagged firing positions. The move comes as an increasing number of vessels linked to Russia's "shadow fleet" have been seized by Western authorities. 🇩🇪 #Germany: A shooting incident took place at a youth welfare centre in Stade, northern Germany, leaving six people dead. Four women and one man were shot and killed inside the facility, while a sixth victim later died in hospital from their injuries.
