Just think: in the future you may look back on these times as "the good ol' days".
> "I hold it that a little rebellion now and then is a good thing, and as necessary in the political world as storms in the physical."
–Thomas Jefferson, letter to James Madison (January 30, 1787)

A good book that I read in high school and did an oral book report on to the class. Afterwards, once of the beauties in the class informed me of how amusing it was to hear me talk of places in the book like "Glubdubdrib" and "Brobdingnag" so matter-of-factly with a straight face 😄

> "In an American context, the United States was, of course, founded as a union of thirteen separate countries. It was only after a war was fought to prevent several of those countries from leaving the union that the US became the single large state we know today—with provinces that we, confusingly, *call* states."

> "War...is harmful, not only to the conquered but to the conqueror. Society has arisen out of the works of peace; the essence of society is peacemaking. Peace and not war is the father of all things. Only economic action has created the wealth around us; labor, not the profession of arms, brings happiness. Peace builds, war destroys."
– Ludwig von Mises, *Socialism* (1922)
> "President Trump recently stated the federal government cannot afford to pay for daycare and other social programs because it has to spend so much money on the military and war. Of course, the Constitution does not authorize the federal government to run either a welfare state or a global empire."
You've got the military industrial complex grift, and then the daycare grift as illustrated by the Somalian daycare scams that were recently exposed.
