The US Government is no better than medieval torturers or what you might experience from a Third World dictatorship...
> "The United States captured KSM [Khalid Sheikh Muhammad] in 2003 and the CIA subjected him to various methods of torture. Most famously, he was waterboarded 183 times. Furthermore, he was also deprived of sleep for over a week, put in extreme stress positions, thrown against walls, endured rectal rehydration, and his torturers threatened to kill his children."

Trump lists some of the worst presidents (Lincoln, Wilson) as greats. So if he he is indeed close to them then he is also among the worst.
Some libertarian historians rank John Tyler as the greatest president in terms of showing the most fidelity to the Constitution and his oath of office. Grover Cleveland and Calvin Coolidge are also highly regarded for the same. But public schools and conventional, statist court historians praise those presidents who get the nation into wars and violate the Constitution the most. They are considered "transformative", and indeed they each did their part to transform the government from one thing into something worse.

> "Pope Sixtus IV (ca. 1471), who allegedly caught syphilis from one of his many mistresses, became the first pope to issue licenses to prostitutes and to levy a tax on their earnings, augmenting vastly the papal revenues in the process. Indeed the Roman Curia partly financed the building of St. Peter's by this tax and the sale of licenses."

Some say that is when Western Civilization peaked, just prior to World War I, and that it's been downhill from there. Look at the design of buildings from that time compared to buildings since. Compare how people dressed out in public then compared to the yoga pants and pajamas people go out in today. The baseball caps of today instead of the fedoras of yesteryear...

> "Americaβs welfare-warfare state appears to be in its final days. The economic crisis that will lead to the end of the current system will likely involve the rejection of the dollarβs reserve currency status. This will cause a collapse in the dollarβs value. In this situation, Americans will have an opportunity to replace the authoritarianism of both the left and right wing of the ruling uniparty with volunteerism in our economic lives, our personal lives, and our dealings with other countries."
Not to be be pessimistic, but if history is any guide, authoritarianism/statism will just give way to greater authoritarianism/statism. But I'd like to be hopeful.

They are supposed to show compassion to their enemies' donkey:
> βIf you come across your enemyβs ox or donkey wandering off, be sure to return it. If you see the donkey of someone who hates you fallen down under its load, do not leave it there; be sure you help them with it.

> "One video captures the moment when an Israeli settler brutally beat elderly Palestinian Saeed Al-Omour with a club in Hebron, occupied West Bank. Al-Omour had lost his leg after being shot by Israeli settlers more than a year ago. In another particularly gruesome incident recorded on video Israeli settlers beat a Palestinian farmer on the West Bank before stealing his donkey. They dragged the donkey behind their truck until it died, a horrible death for a gentle and peaceful animal."
