I've just been reminded of the fact that the majority of adults don't really work. I keep forgetting.
Trying to figure this out has been haunting me for years, but I think I have the pattern down.
She's Movie Star beautiful, not Hot Babe beautiful. You know what I mean? Like, the scene will have this whole gaggle of stunningly attractive women prancing around, and there's this one chick that stands out, and you just know she's gonna be the star, but she's actually not as good-looking as everyone else, but she's the only one you can really "see", so it's like, Oh, she's the important one.
She's like dat.

It is time for #Africa to abandon all hopes of switching from wood fires and charcoal stoves to liquid natural gas.
For that reason, we have launched an important movement. We ask Africans, across the continent, to save us all from global warming ๐ with one simple step: #juststopcooking .

Hilarious, everyone complaining about what Merz said, but no one saying that he's wrong. ๐
Okay,
has been rolled back to v10.8, to remove the cache DB change. I need to think of something more backward-compatible, so that users with slow Internet (like me ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ) can opt-in, without annoying everyone else.
I then cherry-picked in some of the changes @Cody has added to Jumble Core, and implemented some bug-fixes, and then rolled forward to 10.9. Highlights now show up under quotes. Comments render under replies, even if they contain both an "E" and an "A" tag.
Gotta go to work, now. HTH! ๐ซก

Jumble - Imwald Edition ๐ฒ
A user-friendly Nostr client focused on relay feed browsing and relay discovery. The Imwald edition focuses on publications and articles.
Can everyone see something, now? If it's now broken, everywhere, I can roll it back to the last image.

The
relay selector is a bit wonky, now, but do you notice the paging being faster and the threads being more complete?

@fiatjaf I forked your client. โบ
I'll be working on it, actively, from now on.

It's sort of funny, how fast the public impression of #Catholics, in the West, has gone from namby-pamby fairies and feminists to hard-core, intimidating Big Men and Heartless Women, within about 25 years.
Obviously, it's a big improvement. But it's funny.
I thought this one was incredibly clever, but nobody got the reference and I just got outed as a weird nerd. Again.

NATO's latest "wars" have left everyone with an impression that war zones are relatively safe for civilians. That was a complete anomaly.
Ukraine and Gaza, have reminded us that #WarActuallyTotallySucks. Don't do that. It's stupid. Avoid it. You are only competing to be First Loser.
Politics is frustratingly slow-moving, and has gone out of style because Internet Bros like to be edgy, but it was invented to give everyone a viable alternative to war. It is a good alternative.
This is Nostr, so your feed is now going to fill up with hysterical, hyperventilating, rantings about Israel not behaving much much much better than Palestinians do.
But merely... much much better.
And how this means that they are #LiterallyHitler.
(Not that Palestinians think there's anything wrong with that.)

My banker just called to tell me I can stop talking his ear off about Bitcoin because they are now working on setting up a DCA program. ๐
๐ ๐ works.
Okay. You got me to stop scrolling.

My generation is concerned that our children might not be sexuallly-active in their twenties.
The themed #Wikistr implementations are starting to look nice. Each one feels like a little present that I'm wrapping up in gift paper.
Also redid the data structure to pull and cache into IndexedDB and then update the cache in the background. Still working out the kinks, but it makes for a smoother experience.
I limit searches and comments to those defined by the theme and user's inboxes/outboxes, but if an article search returns nothing, you can press a button and expand to the full search relay list.
Wikistr searches 30818 and 30041 events, now, by the way. I'm still plugging and chugging along, down here in the #BasementDev room.
