One of the most interesting things about Nostr is how it has #Muslims and #Christians that are both more personally tolerant and more orthodox religious, than what you usually encounter. It's sort of an unexpected mix. And you would think those two groups would socially collide more, but they don't. It's actually a quite peaceful existence to just agree to vehemently disagree on The Most Important Things, and sort of just get over it and talk about the Many Secondary Things that you usually agree on. 🤷🏻‍♀️ What doesn't lead to greater interreligous peace is the insistence that Nothing Really Matters or that Everything Is Basically The Same. It's the clarity of the expectations, and respecting other peoples' beliefs and authorities, that calms everything down.

I guess v10.14.01 is the hard-fork of #Jumble Imwald 🌲 from Jumble Core 🧩. It's been heading that way, but completely rewriting the navigation, the threading, the components, and rearranging the tabs has made pulls nearly impossible. Also, I keep fixing bugs as I go along, and the pulls have been mostly unmergable fixes for things I've already fixed. I usually just read through them and see if I can't adopt some change functionally, rather than through a merge. View quoted note →

There's only one panel, now. No option for two and I redid the navigation and the feeds. I hope it all works, but it should at least be a little faster and smoother. My own Internet connection is so bad, that I can't tell if the performance got better or worse. 😂 Sorry, that it took so long. Computers are hard. GM I woke up and some of the people who have been receiving significant amounts of Bitcoin donations and payments (which, let's be honest, are also basically donations) spent the hours I was asleep mocking the people who spend their Bitcoin as economically-illiterate fools. Ouch. I'm feeling some zap regret, ngl. 😔 I've seen enough. I will now be adding the ability to list more payment methods to the profiles.

We haven't really made any money, here. Almost everything has been from our own pockets or a very small number of large contributors on Geyser. If anything, we've spent more on supporting other peoples' efforts, than we've received for our own. There's just no financial incentive to produce content for Nostr, and building for Nostr doesn't pay unless you win the grant lottery. Everyone comes here, realizes that they will go broke slowly here, and then they leave again. It is, what it is. GN
