One thing that annoys me about Americans is that we can't seem to understand the functional purpose of a sandwich. I don't know if we started this trend but it sounds like the kind of thing we'd contribute to humanity.
A sandwich is supposed to be an efficient mechanism for delivering a meat entree to a mouth without the need for silverware or a hazmat suit.
At some point, we decided it was perfectly acceptable to pour a ladel of beef stew onto a bun, slap another bun atop it, wrap the whole thing in foil-backed paper, then act like the customer is the unreasonable one for requesting a plate and silverware.
For a brief moment, forgot I was running the Opportunity Cost extension and thought the regional news outlet got orange-pilled 🤣
