I remember this comic. The next frame is a day later when they're out buying something that is expensive and/or poops in the floor ๐Ÿคฃ View quoted note โ†’

Me: "Lord, please protect me from the temptation to do something stupid with my bitcoin." Price crashes, making me poor again. Prayer answered ๐Ÿคฃ

A few sats and @PayPerQ helped get my tractor running again ๐Ÿซก Also, if you already own Ryobi 18V batteries, the PCL031B inflator is a handy little tool to have.

"Commodity Credit is where somebody has earned income and saved it, and they're turning around and lending it out, versus Circulation Credit, which is creating credit out of thin air. There is legitimacy to commodity credit. That is absolutely a healthy thing. It's the circulation credit where you're creating credit out of thin air that creates these booms and busts. It's very hard to track the difference between those two things. This is why you don't actually see a report of how much is circulation credit versus how much is commodity credit."

Doesn't it seem kind of weak to suggest guilt by association when Epstein apparently couldn't even get his name right? If we're going to go after someone, let's target all of the public officials responsible for Epstein being a free man post-2008. View quoted note โ†’

The problem isn't that nobody is coming to save us. The problem is getting the scammers to leave us alone and stop trying to 'save us'.

I've read this before but never like this. Value-per-coin would be dependent on: a) user growth, or b) "the amount of fiat sloshing around in the system" God bless everyone trying to make Bitcoin easier to use ๐Ÿซก View quoted note โ†’

If you think Bitcoin is volatile, it's 6F this morning and tomorrow's forecasted high is 59F. Virginia's weather is as retarded as its politics.

This will ruffle some feathers but I believe it's a disservice to keep pretending that the reason for nostr's dwindling usage is due to the absence of dopamine-feeding algos when - at least in my experience - it's the least reliable and consistent social media that most people will ever try. When I try to zap someone through primal web, my default zap amount gets arbitrarily changed to 42 with no explanation. So in the back of my mind I'm thinking, if it can change it to 42 without my knowledge, what's to stop it from changing to something like 42K and empty my entire wallet in my first zap of the day? Zap, Like and Repost icons that just sit there spinning all day after you click them. Home feeds whose chronological order is randomly dependent on relay connections, caching servers or who knows what? To my mind, the only people who will endure this for much more than a year are those with an ideological desire to see nostr succeed, and that has to be a much smaller number than want to see bitcoin succeed.
