Looking to create a community. One of the boxes says "list of recommended relays" that I need to have. Is this something mandatory or how do I go about this?

⌛ It’s only a matter of time before the correspondent banking system understands and incorporates correspondent protocols for global settlement.
The difference:
🐢 Correspondent banking is a “pay-to-play” inefficient and slow network, with tied up capital and various intermediaries. Global commerce pays the price of this through higher FX rates, higher minimums, additional fees and opportunity costs of goods not moving due to financial settlement delays.
⚡ Correspondent protocol, such as the Bitcoin blockchain, is an interoperable network without capital requirements, heavily disintermediated, which transfers and settles value in one single transaction. This returns value to global commerce in the way of better FX rates and instant global settlement, which increases the turnover of goods being traded.

⚠️ Imagine the extent of Microsoft's AI push that it needs to be powered by an entire nuclear power plant.
The sooner you opt-out, the better. Drop third-party servers and OS.
Run your life on your own terms:
A personal server from @Start9 to host your digital life, accessed from a mobile phone running @GrapheneOS or a computer running Linux.
⚠️ It will only get worse and more intrusive from here.

💥 Very happy to share the news that IBEX is integrating Lightning to HTX, a leading platform for digital assets. Together, we will expand, particularly in Asia, Latin America and Africa.
Another step forward for Bitcoin and Lightning into our everyday lives! 🫡

I really enjoyed this conversation with Cantilever Advisors about Bitcoin's industrial use cases for global B2B settlement and the importance of protecting your privacy in an ever-increasing digital world.
Hope you enjoy it as well!

It's unfortunate the extent that provinces in Argentina, such as La Rioja have gone to get away from the Peso, but they've set the peg of their new currency, the "Chachos," at 1:1 to the Peso; no way to escape inflation.

One of the real costs of privacy is convenience.
It's not easy to give up the UI/UX of Google and Apple products for hardwares and softwares like @Start9 , @GrapheneOS and Linux (all three which are great).
Once you take the bold and liberating step, the feeling is kind of the same as having a kid. You won't really know how awesome it is until you do it.
Another reminder as to why protocols and not platforms.

It's a good thing crypto bros are the psychopaths and not us bitcoiners

Great write-up from @Svetski about what Nostr is.
I know many of us here have been trying to get people onboarded to Nostr but it's hard.
His write-up has helped me get people on or at least have a more educated conversation about the potential of Nostr.
