In a world where pretty much anything is possible the “value” that companies try to sell us is that they reduce complexity.
But the truth is that most things that we need and do day to day are actually really simple.
Cooking is simple
Health is simple
Relationships are simple
Work is simple
The hard part is doing them

Spending time listening to videos from socialist/anarchist voices. So much of it is rooted in Christian practice but has been scrubbed to be secular.

Something has changed in the Facebook algorithm this week. The amount of drivel I’m getting on the feed is telling. Would get rid of it but need to keep it for my local community group
Oh boy here we go

The most disturbing bit about the UnitedHealthcare assassination is how openly the police are saying they are running facial recognition on CCTV.
I wonder how many innocent citizens they’ve run facial recognition on in the past
“Daddy, what were you doing when $100k happened?“
“I was lying on your toddler bed at 3 in the morning holding you in one arm and zapping with the other”

It’s good to be back #zapathon
Let’s get zapping ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️
I get what Jack is getting at but as many have pointed out. 2 & 4 are a luxury of the childless. I average 4-5 hours a night broken up in 3-4 stints.
One day we’ll get to a point where 2 & 4 are true but for most of my “productive” years I’ll be sacrificing those things for my children.
If you’re childless absolutely allow yourself these things, they’re a gift from God.
But for those of us with children or circumstances that make 2 & 4 impossible remember we have been blessed in different ways
