NPR and a large percentage of their listeners/readers some how think there is something wrong with people and/or insurance companies hiring private firefighters😆. If and when government fails, of course people are going to turn to business to solve their problems. Hey let’s just make private industry illegal. That will solve this problem and make things more fair. The article is trying to make this out to be an “ethical dilemma.” And it is, but only to communists and useful idiots. Seriously, don’t give money to NPR. https://www.npr.org/2025/01/18/nx-s1-5265301/california-wildfires-private-firefighters

I have a confession to make. The only reason I maintain my Facebook account is so I can post snide triggering comments on NPR articles. Is it a productive use of my time? No. Am I sorry? Definitely not. Should anybody read/listen to NPR? Definitely not.

@HODL Here are the "10 Normie Commandments" rewritten in the style of The King James Bible: 1. Thou shalt know that the actions of man, though many, have little weight upon the earth. 2. Verily, the tidings of the world, as spoken by the multitude, are mostly true and reflect the nature of reality. 3. Trust in the institutions of men, for they are deemed worthy of faith. 4. Seek not the paths of the unconventional, for the way of tradition is the only wisdom worth pursuing. 5. Lo, the pursuit of comfort, both in body and in spirit, is the highest calling of man. 6. Desire ye the fruits of consumption, for creation is of little worth. 7. Honor the figures of authority, for their legitimacy is to be respected. 8. The paths of convention in labor are the treasures most esteemed in the land. 9. Know this: the future is a mystery, and none can foretell what shall come to pass. 10. Behold, risk is an abomination, and it must be shunned with great fervor. View quoted note →

Feeling like Tim “The Tool Man” Taylor. Tomorrow, we will start laying a hardwood floor. I had to cut these sections out because they had water damage. image
