we’re in Vienna, Austria and saw earlier this week on the @BTC Map that a restaurant close by accepted Bitcoin. we’ve been thinking about this all week. this moment to take part in making Bitcoin a market of exchange- being a part of the change. when Brett came to me a few months ago and told me about Bitcoin, my first question was, “Yea but how do you use it?”. I had doubts. I wasn’t sure it was “usable”. seeing it in action tonight is something I’ll never forget. using Bitcoin is real and possible. (oh, and the burger was pretty amazing. 🍔) @Brett

first picture: me in 2022. my last day of my teaching career after putting in 5 years of hard work. 5 years of endless IEP meetings, feeling stuck inside buildings, holding stress from administration and parents, & never feeling like I was doing what I was meant to do. I was told in college, “You should just be a teacher so you can have summers off to be with your kids”. this was the narrative I believed and chose to move forward with. fast forward to me today: I don’t have kids, I live out of two backpacks, I don’t own my own house or car, I travel the world with my husband caring for other people’s homes and pets, & my passion for opting out of the system is stronger than ever. it’s funny to look back and realize that I always had a deep-down feeling that something was off, that something wasn’t right… I just couldn’t see it at the time. the first thing I do when waking up is: ✨open the windows ✨fluff the sheets and comforter ✨let all the light and breeze in sunlight and fresh air rejuvenates and brings energy into indoor spaces. the closer we can be to nature, the better. 🌿🦋☀️

when my husband first came to me and mentioned he was orange pilled, I thought he was losing his mind. 5 months later and I’ve definitely been #orangepilled. so thankful to be losing our minds together. ;)

grounding and getting sunshine listening to @Jeff Booth on What Bitcoin Did. what a good feeling it is that time is not being wasted when learning about Bitcoin. “Most people are spending their time complaining about the current system while it’s getting stronger. Instead, all they have to do is move their time to Bitcoin and they’re repricing all of the current system”.

as I’m stepping more into this online space, I’m really reflecting on value and conviction. instead of following fads and mindlessly getting stuck in the scroll, I’m finding myself looking in to see the world outside of me. thanks @primal for creating this amazing tool to help create a better world. here’s to more mindful, intentional living. 🌿🦋🐄☀️🪲🤍✨

reality of house and pet sitting: sometimes you have to jump over the neighbors fence to get the dog from eating a hedgehog. sorry to the neighbors listening to us scream “Aus” in very bad German.

my husband and I sold our home in 2021. we traveled the US living out of our car and in AirBnBs. we started house and pet sitting in 2023. sold our car in 2024. summer of 2024, we took our house & pet sitting internationally and have now been living out of 2 backpacks for a total of 2 years while working remote jobs. I’ve learned that less is more, that connection with strangers is life-changing, animals are one of the sweetest gifts to humans, & living differently than the majority of the world can be isolating at times. that’s why I’m thankful for this space & @primal; to connect with people who want to live differently, live by their convictions, & create a better world. would love to know if there are any other nomads or house/pet sitters in this space!

reading The Bitcoin Standard by Saifedean Ammous with my husband and it takes almost an hour to read just 30 minutes of the book… that’s because I don’t understand basic economics because I wasn’t taught it. but I’m thankful to learn now and thankful for a husband who’s patient with me to answer and guide me with all of my questions. empowerment >>> victim mindset
