I've always wondered, what other things? He turned Bitcoin loose and left it. He eluded to other projects, which I would assume are also freedom oriented.

I'm very opinionated. If my opinion triggers you to start rage-posting that is your shortcoming, not mine.
Opt out fu sho.
The identity stuff is getting ridiculous.
Linux distros like Ubuntu talking about they might have to mandate that developers comply with California's age verification law.
Debian upstream, took the position of "not our problem."
I'm running debian unless that changes.
We might end up having to build our own Arch Linux from scratch if things get worse.

Any country that is part of the SWIFT network will bend to US financial regulatory authority.
Freezing Bitcoin funds is already largely possible with collusion of the major mining pools, who already fear US government regulators. I saw several years ago that too much concentration of hash power and control of mining pools by individuals who can be pressured by the US government is a potentially big problem. We need more miners and mining pool operators running out of rogue countries that don't comply with US financial regulators or Bitcoin will end up captive to US government interests and control.

Who's "we"?

ChatGPT plus plan for $20/month gives you 3000 messages per week with GPT 5.4 'thinking' or 'extended thinking'.
Unlike other AI coding assistants your usage cap is not based on tokens or compute time. Even if it works on your prompt and the files you uploaded to it for 20-30 minutes that still only counts as one of your 3000 weekly messages.
They have a coding agent called Codex, but I prefer to work in conversation mode in the browser for it's ability to save context on the fly for later recall and reference context from across chat threads. I just give it instructions and upload files and it returns them to me when they're ready. I handle git versioning and deployment on my own so I retain full control.
It also acts as a consultant. I discuss the direction of the project and it comes up with a development roadmap that takes my idea from concept to production release. We follow it step by step and make additions to from time to time.
It's also very good at debugging most of the time.
Basically I take on the role of project engineer while ChatGPT functions as both an engineering consultant and team of subordinate developers. This project is almost 20k lines of code across 42 files and I haven't written a single line of code.A blast from the past!

Bit cooler this morning. Snow in the forecast tonight. It was 76F out yesterday. Welcome to Montana.
Xi Jinping calls for Strait of Hormuz to be opened amid Iran conflict
Of course he does. This situation hurts China most of all.
Prolonged sanctions on Russia, taking control of Venezuela, war with Iran shutting down the straight... It's all connected.
The USA is gaining a strangle hold on the global oil/LNG market and this gives them leverage over China who is wholly dependent on imported energy.
That's the real objective here.
