On October 27, 1922, Benito Mussolini launched the March on Rome, the fascist coup d'état. Filippo Turati was a staunch opponent of the dictator. On October 27, 2026, Romano Floriani Mussolini, Benito's great-grandson, scored his first goal in the top division—against a goalkeeper named Stefano Turati. Via: Datos Freak

------------ Yesterday I told you how I taught my nephew to use Selene Wallet and even made a demo transfer for him so he could see how easy and effective it is. My nephew in Brazil is a minor and doesn’t trust the banking system because money has already been confiscated from people in his country; plus, the real (BRL) is suffering from high inflation, but the entire financial system is heavily monitored by the government. He can’t buy BCH on a centralized exchange because he has to register his ID (CPF) and must be of legal age. If he were to send me money through a bank so that I could then transfer BCH back to him, it would be very expensive to convert the currency and make the international transfer. Is there a decentralized community in Brazil for people who want to keep their savings safe?

A nephew of mine opened a barbershop. He asked me how cryptocurrencies work, given the current fear that the Brazilian government might become more dictatorial. I showed him how to set up the Selene Wallet, how to back up his seed phrase, and when he showed me his QR code, I transferred the equivalent of $5 to him with a transaction fee of $0.052, even though I was in one country and he was in another. Spreading the word.

Which Simpsons Halloween special do you recommend? I personally liked the parody of The Shining.

I didn’t sleep well, so today’s workout was slow and low-energy. I did it anyway because I believe discipline matters more than motivation. So there it is.

The left has unsuccessfully tried for years to replace Chile’s old pen-and-paper voting system with an electronic one, and it is still trying. We have an “obsolete” system, but I won’t vote after I’m deceased.

As AI applications become more sophisticated, dependable orchestration and predictable error handling remain essential.

The gym is small. I was mid-workout when a woman came in and put some smelly alcohol on everything before touching it. The smell was unbearable, so I finished the main part of my deadlift workout and left.

GM! AnythingLLM 1.19.0 brings built-in local LLM inference to Docker through Lemonade and llama.cpp. This reduces the need to run a separate inference server and supports GPU acceleration across NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel hardware, as well as CPU-only systems. WizeStream 1.34.0 adds optional local recommendations, personalized content feeds, customizable themes, and better playback controls. It is another example of how alternative media clients can offer users more control over their experience.
