Alright. Its high time I sit down and figure out what happened to that Laura Palmer chick.

There's one topic that liberty leaning folks refuse to shut the fuck up about - and they should shut the fuck up about it for their own benefit and basically everyone else's - and Peter Schiff just Leroy Jenkins'ed it. Unbelievable.

The Tech Right vs. Populist Right is going to be interesting, and I'm all here for it.
Yeah, but the Big Beautiful Bill also includes buying Greenland right? That's why it's so big?
Every June 4th, I'm reminded of this small, unfinished project that would make my office more cozy and welcoming to others:

Marv's Killdozer (by Yoshík) from BrickLink
Marv's Killdozer (by Yoshík)LEGO 60074-1: Bulldozer custom MOC(if you are interested only in armor and fig parts: https://www.bricklink.com/v3/stu...
I see a well thought, well articulated post, and my internet-poisoned brain instinctively wants to respond with "Grok is this true?" just to be a dick. I can't help it.
I made a heartfelt confession to my wife last night. For the past couple of weeks she's been going to bed early so I've been left to my own devices.
I started rewatching old WWF Attitude era episodes.
We're going to work through this, as a family, for the children.
I hate the phrase "everything has tradeoffs." Option A is shit, Option B is shit, and someone pops out of the woodwork, hoping yo sound profound, handwaving away that both options actually suck, but one (reluctantly) has to be picked.
"Everything has tradeoffs" is not a ringing endorsement of anything.
Is there really a difference between a story written by committee and a story written by AI?
Immigration and assimilation into a relatively homogeneous population is funny thing after several generations. You're left with people who become the population they assimilated into, but still carry a foreign last name. Most know nothing about their ancestral culture or tongue, but they still carry the last name.
So the Dr. Who fans are melting down in my timeline. I have zero interest in the show. I tried to watch it years ago when it was allegedly good and thought it was dumb.
But anyways, the Dr. Who fans are proving my theory right that we'd all be a lot happier with AI writing our shows.
Playing through Halo 5, which I've had forever but never played. I'm not hating it as much as I hated 4.
I don't know if that's high praise or not, but so far its fine.
Accepting the fact that I have to have this for the CRT in my office. My wife says I'm crazy, but if you're going to build a shrine to nostalgia, you gotta go all the way. FieldStation42, wild project.
Note to self: Monday morning when everyone is running around the house frantically searching for shit they can't find (but urgently need), I need to blast Ecstasy of Gold. Thats the vibe.
Step into any McDonald's today with their bleak, Scandinavian prison cafeteria aesthetic, soulless kiosk machines, and the complete suppression of Ronald McDonald and his friends, and its clear we actually lost the cold war to the USSR.
I don't like when films are revised after release (other than director's cuts, etc). What was done to Star Wars and ET was a travesty.
That said, I would absolutely watch AI enhanced versions of spaghetti westerns where the voices align with the lips. That shit drives me crazy.
Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001 on Dreamcast...what in the flying fuck is this sprite work? #gamestr

Could be an accent, could be a speech impediment, it just depends on how many people find it weird I guess.
I just saw an amazing quote, had to laugh: "Maine is Massachusetts' version of West Virginia"
