Gotta say, @jack is one of the few tech leaders out there who is actually using their wealth and resources to affect legit change in the world, for the better. Respect ✊🏻

Bitcoiners are anti-surveillance state. Curious how this translates into parenting? To what extent should we apply parental controls and monitoring on our kid’s devices? When are they entitled to privacy?
Perfect use case for Bitcoin sporting team in an unbanked region of the world. Bitcoiners would undoubtably embrace and send more than enough sats to take care of operations and start a treasury. Plus educate, allow players to earn, and build a circular economy around the success of the team.

Australian government proposing free power for 3 hours during the middle of the day (peak solar generation period) to help stabilise grid and hopefully reduce evening hours demand.. Think it might be time to get some legit ASICs

Three hours of free power for everyone from July – but there’s a catch — The Age
Electricity companies will be forced to offer a new type of bill plan that supplies all households – with and without solar panels – with free ...
I’m drunk, and it’s NOSTR.. feel like it’s appropriate time to share a deep feeling.. Fuk-all people care about or use Bitcoin. Feel like it’s going to lose purely out of lack of interest, or the U.S. fuking with it
Not sure how it goes in the rest of the world, but in Australia, seems a lot of ‘hard working’ tradesmen and labourers spend half their time on break/smoko, or on their phones, charging arbitrarily high rates for average/poor work, whilst dropping $$ on drugs/alcohol/gambling, and complaining about cost of living. There’s very little integrity, pride in workmanship, and personal ownership.
Respect to those actually getting stuck in and aiming higher ✊🏻
I can appreciate the argument for controlled inflation to stabilise prices and prevent collapses. It’s like a global fee for ‘stability’. People would buy into it if it didn’t exist and was sold to them as a nominal yearly fee or subscription that keeps things steady.
It’s the flip-side of Bitcoiners who would ‘happily’ pay fees to keep their money in a full reserve bank.
How the printing is distributed, cpi calculated, arbitrary fluctuations in rates etc., is where it clearly doesn’t deliver in reality though.
@Zoltán Why you always a follower of the scam bots trying to contact and follow me?
Trying to figure out best way to get my 6yo hands on with Bitcoin.
Which wallet? Key mgmt? Let him transact? watch only?
Obviously concerned he’ll make a mistake, opsec, wallet support, device damage etc
Ultimate aim is to let him see his stack grow and easily receive sats for work/achievements. More a savings account than transaction.
Any thoughts/suggestions out there?

Considering melting down my gold wedding ring to sell for Bitcoin 🤔.. I’m still happily married too 😂
Lining up around the corner for gold in central Sydney

Hate how I have to tip-toe around conversations with family and friends whenever Bitcoin is relevant and should be brought up
