Power out since 2 AM. generator started right up, praise the Lord, meat saved. Went to teach Sunday School, and worship, back home on generator duty. Had given the #meshtastic nodes one last crack late last night after nearly giving up, and we're back up. so that's what I'm doing View quoted note →

Tomorrow is the last session of this semester's study through the WLC. We plan to cover: Q. 55. How doth Christ make intercession? A. Christ maketh intercession, by his appearing in our nature continually before the Father in heaven, in the merit of his obedience and sacrifice on earth, declaring his will to have it applied to all believers; answering all accusations against them, and procuring for them quiet of conscience, notwithstanding daily failings, access with boldness to the throne of grace, and acceptance of their persons and services. Q. 56. How is Christ to be exalted in his coming again to judge the world? A. Christ is to be exalted in his coming again to judge the world, in that he, who was unjustly judged and condemned by wicked men, shall come again at the last day in great power, and in the full manifestation of his own glory, and of his Father’s, with all his holy angels, with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God, to judge the world in righteousness. ...and I'm only now realizing this is probably too much to cover in a single class. 55 is so theologically and devotionally rich, we need to camp out on that for a while--not rush through it. 56 is sure to provoke a lot of discussion among our 'newly Reformed' brethren given the headlines, that ought to be handled with great care. And yet, my "decently and in order" objects, "but this is the best topical break for the 7-month hiatus between now and 'the benefits of the mediator' next January...just be efficient, get it done." Guess we'll see how the Lord leads tomorrow... #Christian #Reformed #Presbyterian
"They will put you out of the synagogues. Indeed, the hour is coming when whoever kills you will think he is offering service to God. And they will do these things because they have not known the Father, nor me. But I have said these things to you, that when their hour comes you may remember that I told them to you." -- Jesus, the Christ (John 16:2-4a) Listen up.
