Here's my stand from last weekend! It was quite successful, but the two full days of sitting+standing still made my back hurt so bad I haven't been able to work (I'm a masseuse), so I've lost way more earnings this way than I got with the stand. Life is funny that way. #artstr #nostrartstr #jewelry #handmade

Final steps are polishing off any rough soldering remains that could snag on the skin or clothing and attaching the chain. Sometimes I add a black patina. And that's it! It's quite a lengthy process. I'm currently working on a new display setup, using nice books. image

Step no.4! Making shapes out of a thicker wire and soldering them on to make the stones into pendants. This is the most creative part of the process, though it is not my favourite part, as that is hunting for nice minerals to turn into jewelry. ๐Ÿคญ I have waaay to many stones at home... In this step you have to be really careful not to overheat everything with the soldering gun, that's why I make several pendants at once and switch in between. If the solder overheats, the shapes just fall off as everything gets liquid! #artstr #jewelry #handmade #soldering #nostrartstr

Here's step no. 3: reinforcing the edges of the soldered part with wire. This ensures more sturdiness and a more polished finish. It's slow work. Also, I'm still super grateful to my friends who didn't want for my hobbies to kill me and got me a fume extractor for my birthday a few years back.

I got a lovely birthday present from Nature today ๐Ÿฅฐ They would have gone bad in a day or two (noone goes to this hill), so I'm really happy we found them before that! image

I'm prepping for a stall at a mineral expo in September. I make pendants with Tiffany technique (soldering onto minerals), but people find these expensive (they take a long time to make) and I never sell enough to make it worthwhile. So I'm also making quick simple earrings, rings and pendants, which in my experience sell way better (Even though they have zero artistic input ๐Ÿ™ƒ. They are fun to make though) and I can cover my stall this way. image This is a phantom quartz with a fox tooth that I made for a friend. She found the dead fox in the forest with the tooth lying next to it and she wanted a keepsake. image A nice amethyst cluster, amethysts are by far the most popular. image This one I'm really proud of, a statement malachite piece. image And these are the cute little money makers ๐Ÿ˜„

Continuing with the tiny watercolours, I made this batch for a small erotic festival that will be going on in September. I hope they sell, otherwise I'll have to find a wall space for tiny vulvas and clitorises at home. ๐Ÿ˜† image #artstr

Had an amazing vacation around the border between Switzerland, France and Italy. Awesome trails and hikes, zero injuries and nice weather. #mtb #hiking

I finished the frames on a few more. I think they look really cute together. ๐Ÿฅน If I won't manage to sell any on my next art stall, I'll end up with a super cute wall. ๐Ÿ’ image #artstr

You could say I get slightly obsessed with one thing. My stuff over the years looks like it's been done by a hundred different people. This way I'll never perfect any technique, but I'd rather be a Jack of all trades than a bored master. image
